All In A Shell has for twenty years worked with MULOT SA in France to give the Irish producer the best most cost effective solutions to shellfish handling, tailor made to meet local needs.
Oyster farmers have moved from being simply producers of a bulk product to delivering an accurately graded product ready to pack for the consumer market. This grading is now possible because of the development of electronic grading machines that individually weigh each oyster, to produce 4-6 grades easily programmed by the user. MULOT are the most successful builder of these machines with over 150 machines in service in France and have supplied seven of the eight grading systems now working in Ireland.
Models range from the 10 cup hand fed machines doing 8,000 oysters per hour to the larger 22 cup machines capable of 16,000 oysters per hour fed automatically.
