Vega
Vega Industries Ltd, was formed back in 1972 to commercialise a new concept on leading lights developed in the Physics and Engineering Laboratory in New Zealand from which it took its name the PEL Sector Light.
PEL Sector lights continue to guide worldwide shipping, through the narrowest, most confined and congested waters all over the world, for example the Gaillard Cut of the Panama Canal has 14 PEL lights installed to allow two way traffic, in a channel of only 500 ft wide. From this stable of precision and excellence have come a series of 2 to 14 mile range LED based marine beacons, now leading the industry in terms of power requirements, performance of the LED, and lowering cost. Vega is a company born out of innovation and continues to be driven by that spirit. www.vega.co.nz
